Modern metal artist Bob Gwynn creates one of a kind artwork that brings a vibrant feeling to any room. His artwork can be found in all types of locations: synagogues, restaraunts, corporate offices, doctor's offices, and homes.
The art is created in a studio that is located right outside of his home in Greenville, SC. His work has evolved from simple wall pieces to multi-media pieces that bring in vibrant colors and textures. He uses heat and a painting process on copper, brass and steel to create bright colors. The pieces are welded to a rod frame and have a 3-4 inches of depth to ensure that each piece has a 3-dimensional appearance.
Each design is built one at a time and has a clear coat finish to preserve color and shine. He puts a variety of color in his work using the natural colors of the metals, along with heat and glossy finishes.

Abstract
All abstract wall pieces are one of a kind; no two pieces are ever the same. They are made of aluminum, brass, steel, ceramic tile, geodes, and many other media.
They are 42 inches long and 32 inches wide. They
weigh around 7 pounds and can be hung by one nail.
There are larger versions available that are 5 feet long and 3 feet wide.
The best thing about abstracts is that there are no rules. When people see them they have to stop and say, "What am I looking at?" You always see something different when you look at them.
Sunburst
Sunbursts are 38 inches in diameter, weigh 5 pounds, and
can be hung with one nail.
There are two colors that the sunburst centers come in: burnt
(or red) and black.

Bob Gwynn
After returning from a tour in Vietnam in 1972, he took a welding course to learn a skill before deciding to go back to college. One day on a power plant job, Bob cut a butterfly out of a plate of steel.
38 years later, he has produced hundreds of metal designs ranging from nature designs, water fountains, and furniture. His work has been shown at over 800 major art shows and fairs throughout the south, especially Florida.
His major focus is now on wall abstracts constructed from copper, brass, steel, aluminum, and incorportaing glass, geode stones, and ceramic tiles. He uses heat and a painting process on copper, brass and steel for colors.
After 38 years, he is in the process of passing the torch to his daughter, Meredith, who after graduating from Clemson University has decided to take over where he is leaving off. She has been helping him in the studio since she was a child.
